AENDEE's Upcycled Mismatched Wedding Bow Ties: Behind The Scenes
June 11, 2016
It has been a wonderfully busy spring wedding season this year. I've worked on mismatched bow ties for couples right here in Fargo, ND and have shipped custom upcycled collections as far as London! The AENDEE studio has been bursting at the seams with secondhand shirts to transform into new neckties & bow ties and the sewing machine has seen a lot of plaid the past few weeks.
While working on a recent collection (destination: New York, NY) I thought it would be fun to document some of the behind-the-scenes work that goes into a collection to give you a glimpse into my process of making a custom set of wedding bow ties . I love working one-on-one with couples to find the perfect fabrics and am honored each time a bride & groom choose me to craft their one of a kind, eco-friendly wedding neckwear.
From hand-selecting the shirts that I use to craft each bow tie to sewing each piece in my studio, the process of crafting a custom wedding collection is a creative journey that I love being a part of. Knowing that the items I make will be given as thoughtful gifts and worn during someone's special day (and hopefully for years to come!) is an amazing feeling.
If you're considering mismatched bow ties or neckties for your wedding, I'd love to chat more about working with you to make a custom collection!
