150 years. That's how long Faribault Woolen Mill Co. has been going strong. It's an incredible accomplishment in a country that has had its fair share of economic ups and downs and it's a testament to what a clear vision paired with dedication to quality can endure.
Faribault is known for classic pieces that stand the test of time but this company's rich history does not mean it is stuck in the past in terms of design. They offer a wide range of products as diverse as classic blankets & throws to more modern catch-alls, coffee cup sleeves, and caps.
We got a little insight from Bruce Bildsten on what makes Faribault such a shining example of American Made. Keep reading to learn more.
What is Faribault Woolen Mill Co?
Established in 1865 –the year Abraham Lincoln died and the Civil War ended- on the banks of the Cannon River in Faribault, Minnesota, the Faribault Woolen Mill is a living testament to American craftsmanship, producing fine woolens renowned for their comfort and quality. It is the last remaining mill in America producing finished woolens from raw wool all under one roof. The mill’s rich 150-year-old archives provide the inspiration for a timeless, yet updated collection of blankets, throws, scarves and accessories. Loomed in the Land of Lakes, every piece is made to last for generations.
